Savills - Smiths Gore

Smith Gore were a firm of chartered surveyors with 32 offices and 18 estate offices across the UK. It was noted for its rural property consultancy services. In June 2015, the firm was acquired by Savills, a leading global property consultancy.

The Challenge

They use market leading property management platforms such as Vebra and Reapit; across the 50 offices each office needed to input information and images about each and every property.

The DNA Solution

We built a website which we integrated with Property portals, Landlord portal, CRM, Marketing and Accounting. The solution was architected based around the concept of a central admin being the 'go-to' point for all information across all systems that the organisation and department wanted to access. Furthermore, the system was architected to allow single sign-on, meaning due to the differing levels of clearance required for different individuals in varying departments and positions of seniority, the organisation are able to allocate a level of clearance and individuals only see informations that is relevant to their level. The solution enabled organisation-wide reporting for the management, middle management, senior management and the board at the click of a button.

Outcome

DNA Digital built a web service which took data from multiple offices and stored it in one central database. This Enabled the client to display everything on one website as well as pushing data to Rightmove, the landlord portal and Vebra. DNA ensured everything was saved on one system., which was built from the ground up. The process described above was completed prior to the launch, to ensure a successful rollout. The DNA Digital team then managed and supported the solution, providing scalable, innovative and adaptive growth which led to an interest from Savills who then bought Smiths Gore. We then had to work with Savills in integrating the above with their own site. Working with large companies like Savills, we understand the infrastructure in place and the industry. We ensured the platform worked hand-in-hand with the marketing agency and also had to be SEO friendly.
